Step One: How to improve the taste

Unless you enjoy the plain taste of ground beef you’re going to want to spice things up. My father-in-laws views meat seasoning is always salt, pepper and garlic powder. This philosophy works, but if you want to add some wow factor, I’d suggest taking it a step further.

Start off by mixing your ground beef with one tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, one tablespoon of soy sauce, half a packet of onion soup mix, about two tablespoons of shredded cheese plus salt, pepper, garlic and thyme at your own discretion.

Step Two: How to make hamburger patties

This is the step where most people go wrong because they don’t know where to start to learn how to make hamburger patties. The best way to create uniform hamburger patties, is to use a template. Before you go out and spend money on products built for this purpose, you might want to check your own cupboards first. What I have found that works best is round Tupperware lids. Find a lid that best fits your desired result, but remember that the patties will cook down, so don’t pick one that is too small.

Take a piece of plastic wrap and cover the lid. Place your ground beef into your template and mold it into shape.

Step Three: Grill and Enjoy

Grill your patties at a high heat. Be sure to watch them closely since the drippings can get quite flammable.

Once the patties meet your required level of doneness, place them on toasted buns and add your favorite condiments.

Here’s the recipe on how to make hamburger patties that are awesome:
